Vince Sisneros

Bio

Vince Sisneros joined the Life Science First Year (LSFY) team in August 2021. Prior to joining LSFY he served as the Lead Academic Advisor in Biological Sciences and held a joint appointment as the Joint Admission Medical Program Advisor (JAMP) at Texas Tech University (TTU). He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from TTU, while pursuing graduate studies in anthropology he joined the TTU Arts and Sciences staff which introduced him to higher ed and led him to his passion in helping students. Through his own experience and background, he strives to increase the presence of first generation and underrepresented minorities in university settings. Outside of work he has a passion for the outdoors and traveling to exotic places. His advice for students is to take the opportunity in college to experience and try new things.
