Becky Hackney Cody

Bio

Becky has served as an academic advisor in the Department of Biological Sciences since October 2020. As an advisor, she is committed to guiding, supporting, and empowering students as they discover and pursue their lifelong educational and professional goals. She received her bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Elon University in 2014. After a year of National Community Service with City Year Americorps in Washington DC, she pursued a career in service learning and higher education administration. She earned her master’s of education in higher education administration from NC State University in 2019. Becky is devoted to diversity, inclusion, and equity in action, facilitating student leadership and civic engagement, and exploring interdisciplinary research opportunities.
