Bio
Lisa Parks received a BS in Zoology from Duke University, a PhD in Biology from Georgia State University and did post-doctoral research at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Parks taught multiple courses at Georgia State and researched membrane transport properties of heavy metals before coming to NCSU in 1999. She has taught and developed several different courses along with advising and mentoring students. Revising and developing courses and opportunities to increase student engagement and a sense of community continues to be an important part of her efforts.
