Bio
Deanna Bullard joined the Life Sciences First Year in August 2021. Prior to being part of the LSFY team, she served as a Student Success Coach at another large university as well as the Assistant Director of Career Services at a small, private university, focusing on career advising. She has also served as an instructor for first-year transition and career education courses. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Criminology from George Mason University, and her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in College Student Affairs from the University of South Florida. All of Deanna’s professional roles so far have been in support of first-year students as they transition to the college setting, which is her passion. Her advice for students is to take advantage of all of the great support resources at NC State in order to be their best self while they are here, and to not be afraid to ask for help when they need it.
