Bio

Dr. Candice Small is a PhD graduate and early career scientist based in the School of Anatomical Science, University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa where she has lectured both Forensic Anthropology and Human Anatomy. She has been a member of the Human Variation and Identification Research Unit (HVIRU), under the leadership of Prof Maryna Steyn, since 2016 where she actively participates in Physical Anthropology research and forensic case work. Her specialties are in craniofacial morphology and identification[34–36] and she is currently also a part of a multinational team investigating dental age estimation.
